Victoria Mara Rutt

Victoria is an IT professional and real estate investor. She is also a resident of downtown Indy and passionate about helping her community. She has worked with the officers of Safe Indy for the past six years managing the program's technical and administrative needs with the hope of having a positive impact on public safety in Indianapolis.

Aside from her community work, Victoria provides video production and IT services at Rutt Video & Interactive. She has over seventeen years experience working in new media, eleven of which were spent working in New York City. When working in NYC, she managed large scale IT projects, custom web application development and ecommerce website development.

Specific projects included developing and maintaining an extensive custom document database for First American Title Insurance Company of New York, contributing to the development of the press database for the Miss USA, Miss Universe and Miss Teen USA televised pageants, providing full IT Support for NYC area high volume Yoga and Dance Studios including OM Yoga, Steps on Broadway, Stepping Out Studios and Genesis Society, designing, developing and maintaining the website for Atrium Staffing, one of the largest New York based staffing companies, developing custom software to process letters of credit for global financial institutions and she was subcontracted to create the framework for the Marion County Democratic Party's current Nation Builder based website. She also created and currently maintains the online store for the New York based artist, Peter Max.

Additionally, she co-founded Vraio in Cairo, Egypt to provide sales support to several New York based IT companies and worked as interim IT director at Pasteque in Montreal, Canada.

She is also a licensed Real Estate Continuing Education Provider and develops online continuing education classes for Indiana real estate brokers, as well as online classes for the National Professional Housing Provider Certification program provided by the National Real Estate Investors Association.

Victoria and her husband, S. Kishan Ranasinghe, are vegetarians and avid animal rights advocates. They volunteer regularly with several local animal rescue groups. Victoria raises funds for Tails & Trails Rescue by contributing a generous portion of the proceeds of all of her online continuing education courses. In her free time, Victoria plays cello with the Wiley Community Orchestra, a volunteer based orchestra that entertains residents of several of Indy's nursing homes throughout the year.

Professional memberships include MENSA, Sigma Xi Scientific Research Honor Society and CIREIA.
